Here’s a few of the potential pitfalls to watch out for when swapping power supplies between Sega Saturn revisions. In this video I’m fitting a compatible 240V PSU to a Japanese “This is COOL” Skeleton Saturn so I can use it directly from Australian mains. That is a power-supply swap, not a modification that magically turns any 100V Saturn PSU into a 240V one, and the replacement still has to match the console’s motherboard revision and required output rails.

Good thing I did this too, because the other day I pulled it out and without thinking connected it to power… I guess it was more for the Saturn’s safety than mine!

This is mains-powered hardware, so an open Saturn is not the place for casual live testing.
