We delve a little deeper into the NES and have a look at the cartridge slot. If you mess it up and it catches fire (for whatever reason), replacements could be found for about $10 shipped on eBay at the time. Word of warning though, the replacement I handled didn’t feel as robust as the original, and its outer tin came off much more readily!
