More on the Western Technologies Sega Development Card and the software used to run it.
SEGALOAD.EXE is the PC-side object-code downloader for the SegaDev hardware.
In practical terms, it is the piece that sends a compiled image from the development PC into the SRAM cartridge attached to the Mega Drive.
In the video I poke around some of its command-line options and then load a little bit of Zero Wing.
It eventually freezes.
At this stage I had not established whether the problem was the PC, the development card, the connection to the Mega Drive or the particular image I had loaded.
So the freeze is part of the investigation, not evidence that SEGALOAD itself was faulty.
And, as the next video demonstrates, things were about to become considerably glitchier.
