PSIO Prototype 1.1 Test Station Setup Overview – March 2014

Fired the PSIO prototype up back in March 2014, recorded some video, moved house multiple times and rediscovered this footage. Essentially it’s an overview of how everything is connected up to the prototype PSIO device.

Please remember that this a prototype device and does likely not reflect what the final hardware will be like. This includes compatibility with games as well.

We’re using the good old XRGB-mini to overcome lack of colour on composite when playing NTSC games, something to do with needing a colour correction mod when using PAL hardware. It’s all gravy though as RGB is far superior!

You can hit up ps-io.com if you have any questions since I am but a mere tester, I do not understand the technology behind this wonderful invention.

PSIO Hardware Version: 1.1
PSIO Software Version: 1.1A
All tested on an SCPH-5502 with a missing CD deck.
