Finally got the video together. Windows 95 is installed and running on the Osborne 486.

The CD-ROM drive works most of the time, but it is extremely selective about burned discs. With some burned discs, the system also tended to lock up. In my testing, the TDK Gold 80-minute CD-Rs worked more often than not. Those particular discs were manufactured by CMC Magnetics. My Taiyo Yuden discs would not read at all. That is just what this old drive did with the discs I had available. It isn’t enough evidence to conclude that one media manufacturer was generally better than the other.

Unfortunately I had around fifty Taiyo Yudens and four TDK Gold discs left.

Make that three.
