Installation of the Sega Saturn Phantom Universal Modchip

The Sega Saturn Phantom Universal modchip uses Kynar wire for great cabling! 26-30 AWG wire on the 5V rail seems to work well. Most of this footage is quite, let’s say… aged, and there are newer ways to achieve similar results such as Saturn Phoebe / Rhea, the upcoming Saturn Satiator or the relatively new Fenrir (limited to 20-pin drives though).

I’ve ordered a bunch of capacitors to recap a VA15 This is COOL Saturn, strangely all through-hole caps and was delighted to see only one SH-2 chip! Anyway, as always enjoy the video and I’ll catch you in the next one! 🙂
