I have nothing but praise for the Sakura Wars franchise. I may have only played the original Sakura Wars (1996) on my Sega Saturn thanks to the translation patch.
The remake was done very well. Battle scenes felt much faster and the story stayed pretty much the same, telling a story of secret ninja warriors living their lives in Japan’s Edo period. At least I think it was ninjas. Might be time for me to rewatch the playthrough.
