I’ve finally made some time to configure my blog. Now comes the arduous task of importing and tidying up all the posts from the past. For the moment they’ll mostly be text because there simply isn’t time to sort all the images yet. I’ve decided to give Markdown and a flat-file system a try instead of running WordPress with a MySQL database.

I looked at a few alternatives, including FlatPress, but at this point I found it too awkward to build the theme I wanted. The little package I’m using instead is called Dropplets. Sure, it has a few bugs here and there, but for the most part it seems to be working.

Did I mention this post was authored with GNU Nano? Way past cool, right?
