Here’s a whole bunch of circuit-bending footage I found from what feels like a different life, way back in August 2016. Sonic 3 seemed much less willing to fall apart under the particular bends I tried, while Sonic 1 just goes with the flow, slapping a glitch here and a glitch there! I don’t have enough evidence from this footage to call that a deliberate safeguard in Sonic 3, but the difference was certainly entertaining.
