Just some poking around inside one of the WDL-330P hard drives used with my TeraDrive.

Nothing terribly exciting if your definition of exciting excludes weird 30 MB hard drives.

The internet could certainly use more information about them.

The WDL-330P uses the unusual IBM-family direct-bus storage arrangement I had already been investigating in the TeraDrive.

Its edge-style connector combines the drive interface and power in the same unusual cable arrangement.

It should not be confused with the superficially similar 44-pin laptop IDE connector.

I have personally confirmed WDL-330P drives working in the TeraDrive, which makes preserving these rather odd little disks particularly useful.

I eventually returned to the surviving drives in 2019 for a much more thorough recap and comparison.

For now, enjoy thirty megabytes of early-1990s storage glory.
