This elegant snake-eyed skink (Cryptoblepharus pulcher) skink was delivered to me on a winter evening. It was found in a warehouse trapped under old computer equipment. It was likely trapped there for a long time, in the cold with no food or water. It looked extremely malnourished and as a result was very lethargic.

I would love to say everything turned out great, but I can’t. The natural world knows no mercy. There is a strong possibility that the lizard could no longer eat and has since either starved or has been killed by one of the stronger lizards. There are no guarantees in life, we can only do our best. 🦎
