At least I think it was dd_rescue, might have been ddrescue at the start. Either way, a successful dump. Below is the directory structure of the last main folder.

This is why sleep is important. You can see that I had sd2 instead of sda2 when using ddrescue. ddrescue is the preferred version. dd_rescue is not as good apparently, or rather isn’t maintained. ddrescue can be installed on Ubuntu via sudo apt install gddrescue if it isn’t already present. It’s amazing what you learn as time goes forward.
