Ever sit back and wish your room was only 27 degrees? This particular Dimplex DC10RC was doing an extremely poor job of getting me there. In my room I was seeing something like a two-degree reduction compared with the outside temperature, despite using it in a room smaller than the space I expected it to handle.

I originally pointed to the manual’s 43°C figure as if that guaranteed a particular temperature drop. The manual actually gives a cooling-mode ambient operating range of 17°C to 43°C, not a guarantee of how many degrees it will pull a particular room down.

Something still seemed wrong with the performance of this particular unit, and the later DC15RCBW behaved dramatically better for me. Sign me up for… an exchange. :P
