Time to shine up the old PS one eject-button mechanism.

Sticky PS one eject buttons can come down to something as simple as dirt and friction in the plastic mechanism, although damaged plastic parts can produce similar symptoms.

Disassemble the mechanism carefully, clean the moving surfaces and check that everything moves freely before reassembly.

If lubrication is needed, use a very small amount of something known to be compatible with the surrounding plastic.

No need to drown the thing.
