What a wonderful time to be alive. So much has been going on! Where to begin… Maybe we’ll start with a massive shout-out to SomeOrdinaryGamers on YouTube, who came across the onion version of this very website. I’m glad my Hackers references were picked up too! SOG had around 500,000... Continue reading

I’ve finally had another go at the rather annoying video problems with my PAL VA4 Mega Drive Model 1 and the 32X. Sega actually released a service bulletin back in March 1995 covering this particular motherboard revision, so I’ve decided to give their recommended modification a try. Service bulletin 012... Join me in the wastelands, talking crap and building towns in… 720p! We had a chance to try high definition, took it and it was amazing. The quality is just so much better. Gameplay, probably about the same! Fallout 4 live streams Fallout 4 (PS4 Live Stream, Day 1) Fallout... Continue reading

We clear the Corvega factory of raiders and get very, very over-encumbered. It’s all MINE! Sadly we’re still stuck at 360p. The uplink is less than 80 kB/sec here, which is terrible for video. H.265 maybe? One day? Definitely. “PlayStation 5” and “Xbox Two”, here we come! Edit: Somehow I... Continue reading

We finally meet Preston Garvey of the Minutemen and also stumble upon an “FC”, or Fusion Core, for you guessed it… my first power armour! Fallout 4 live streams Fallout 4 (PS4 Live Stream, Day 1) Fallout 4 (PS4 Live Stream, Day 2) Fallout 4 (PS4 Live Stream, Day 4)... Continue reading

We finally reach the end of the Lunchbeat saga! The final tweak is changing the LED series resistors in my build from 470 ohms to 10 kOhms because the LEDs I picked were far too bright. Increasing the resistance cuts the LED current substantially, which is exactly what I wanted... Continue reading

More live streamness thanks to the folks at Sony, YouTube, and Fallout. You guys are the real heroes! Not much else happened today, well except that it was hot. So very hot. So naturally, I had a hot lunch and hot dinner. Too bad the cool change still hasn’t arrived.... Continue reading
