Just a quick demo to show the Mega Drive and 386SX PC sections functioning as well as can be expected for their age.

This is the same Mega PC I had just pulled apart after finding NiCad battery leakage and damaged motherboard traces. By this point the Sega side was working properly and the PC side was alive, although I was still chasing the hard-drive problem.

So this wasn’t the end of the repair, but after seeing the condition of the motherboard when it arrived, having both halves of the machine running felt like a pretty good result.

Above is the Amstrad Mega PC with its original monitor connected. The supplied display is a dual-sync monitor designed to handle both the PC and Mega Drive sides, which is a big part of what makes the complete setup such a wonderfully strange machine.
