This elegant snake-eyed skink (Cryptoblepharus pulcher) skink was delivered to me on a winter evening. It was found in a warehouse trapped under old computer equipment. It was likely trapped there for a long time, in the cold with no food or water. It looked extremely malnourished and as a result was very lethargic.
I would love to say everything turned out great, but I can’t. The natural world knows no mercy. There is a strong possibility that the lizard could no longer eat and has since either starved or has been killed by one of the stronger lizards. There are no guarantees in life – we can only do our best. 🦎
