I cloned the BIOS across between my two XTIDE cards, so it shouldn’t really be a surprise that it worked. However, I was not sure how it would behave with the hard drive installed in this model… and it behaved perfectly! Like a gentleman and a scholar.
Now both Sega TeraDrives (Model 2 and Model 3) are fully equipped to take on the 21st century with fresh date/time batteries. This makes me far less dependant on the non-IDE 44-pin power-integrated hard drives they use – The WDL-330P / WDL-330PS.
Hopefully, nothing else will go wrong! Fingers crossed! 😀
