A quick look at my Stone Age Gamer Deluxe Mega EverDrive, serial number 123.
This post is mostly about the packaging and presentation rather than another full hardware demonstration, but the cartridge itself is one of the early Mega EverDrive units from the period.
The contemporary Mega EverDrive manual from March 2012 documents PCB revision v1.00 with features including SD-card storage, MegaKey region handling, an in-game menu, experimental snapshot saves, Sega CD BIOS loading and support for Mega Drive, Master System and 32X software modes.
I’d already been using the Mega EverDrive for some of my more questionable hardware experiments, including loading a Mega-CD BIOS while investigating the Mega PC and TeraDrive.
This Deluxe package is simply a much nicer home for it.
Serial 123.
Not bad at all.
