Behold, the queen sugar ant! Well, at least I think it’s a queen. It’s certainly a rather enormous ant!

I’d managed to capture this particularly large specimen for a closer look, and now it’s ready to be released back into the wild.

Revenge of the Ant Queen sounds like the title of some terrible B-grade horror movie, doesn’t it? Fortunately, I don’t think we’ve got anything quite that terrifying going on here.

Long live the queen! Assuming it is one, of course.
