This is the irreversible cosmetic part of my Mega Drive 2 region modification: drilling the case for the switches.

The electrical side comes later.

Measure the switch bodies and decide exactly where they are going before drilling anything. I also prefer having the electronics out of the shell so plastic swarf does not end up scattered across the mainboard.

Once the holes are drilled, there is no particularly elegant Undo button.

Thankfully this one turned out well.
